A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

My jack Russel always wants to play with them when they come in the yard. Bad idea.

I actually wouldn't mind having one of those as a pet.

I have heard that you can have their “stink sack” removed and that they actually make very good pets.

When I was a kid, I had a German Shepherd that would go off almost every night and get in a fight with a skunk, then come back home and go to sleep under the house. My dad ultimately had to put her in a pen for this reason.

I once camped at "Cades Cove" in the Smokey Mountains. At dusk while we were eating at the picnic table, a swarm of skunks descended on the campground. We sat on the table while they tried to steal trash. Other campers threw cans at them, but they just ducked behind trees. Fearless.
By day three, we decided we would not be kicked out of our own campsite, so we held our ground. Do you know how weird it feels to have skunks stepping on your feet while you are eating at the picnic table? Nobody got sprayed.

Skunks can carry rabies and one seen out and about in broad daylight should be considered suspect. They are nocturnal by nature.
