What happened to "never aim a gun at anything you don't want to destroy"? This guy is a complete idiot!! He obviously didn't know anything about guns and therefore should have kept his hands off.

That so-called reporter is a prime example of why kids should be taught firearms safety. Never point a weapon at someone or something unless you intend to use it.

    What. A. Tool.

Nevermind any safety precautions that they may have taken, the simple fact that there are people watching what is, in effect, a guy grabbing a gun off a podium and pointing at someone else is enough for any thinking human being to go "whoa, wait a minute, maybe this isn't such a good idea." Of course, no one has ever confused most reporters with thinking people...
A man fires a rifle for many years, and he goes to war. And afterward he turns the rifle in at the armory, and he believes he's finished with the rifle. But no matter what else he might do with his hands - love a woman, build a house, change his son's diaper - his hands remember the rifle.

He tries to paint a picture of impending doom "Imagine walking in to your kids school and seeing not 1, not 2 but 3 guns!"

And one of them is PISTOL!

Not to mention his finger being on the trigger.

it is a prime example oh how much most reporters do not know.

Now just where would he stand if he'd killed the cameraman?

I'm surprised he was given permission to touch the pistol, considering the negative spin on the story. If he was not given permission, somebody should have knocked him on his butt.

Is it just me or does anyone else move out of the way of the barrel when they see that video.

LOL. I feel a mild adrenaline spike. Kind-of like a primal urge to beat the tar out of him.

Here is the text story: http://www.klfy.com/global/story.asp?s=13274082

And email of the station: news@klfy.com

It doesn't seem that reporter has an email of his own, at least it's not listed.

If I had been the cameraman, that reporter's next report would have been from the emergency room where they were removing the piston from a part of his anatomy where object are not supposed to be inserted! The principal wasn't too bright either for letting the reporter in where guns were unsecured!
