I don't like amusement rides either, they shake your guts around too much.

That looks like great fun and yes I would be willing to try it.

My head for me. Too many concussions/head injuries. I get migraines easy and often. Less shaking the better lol

After spending may years hundreds to over a thousand feet up with nothing but a rope, a parachute would be a step up.

I've flown ultralights, but never a parachute with a 'fan' on one's back...not stable enough for me, but it does look like a lot of fun.

I used to do quite a bit of paragliding when I lived in California. I never tried the motorized, it always seemed too noisy. I ababsolutely loved it. It's much safer than you would think, as long as you don't get stupid. Without the motor it's amazingly peaceful.

There's a small grass strip airport not far from me where there is a bunch of those things. I got back into skydiving this year, after not having jumped for 12, and those buggers really make you keep your eyes open when you are under canopy. Sometimes there will be five in the air at one time, all hovering around the airport until they get adventurous enough to leave the safety of the nearby runway, lol.

That looks like a ton of fun. Not crazy at all. Come follow me down some of the narrow steep chutes we ski....tell me how crazy paragliding seems after that

Actually these are far more stable than the glider type ultralite. The parafoil has a glide ratio of 12:1, meaning you move forward 12' for every 1' you fall (without power). I built, flew and sold the the versions that had wheels when I lived on the farm. They were a lot of fun. I only crashed once, and that was pilot error.
