    at first glance id say AK's of one variaty of another, but the reciever looks a little more squared off than your average AK

    Sort of looks like an open-area ambush drill, though they should be side-by-side. (And farther apart.)

    The rifle is a VZ-58 or SA-58 depending on what country you are from. Same caliber as an AK different mag, different bolt/receiver cover design good weapons the Afghans hate them because they don't take a regular AK mag.
    With these guys this probably is a live fire exercise. The hats are standard issue to the Afghan National Police.
