I do the weather.com one as well. I find it HILARIOUS though when it's pouring down rain with lightening and thunder ringing out and I get a text message saying, "A Thunderstorm Warning has been issued for your area."

    YA THINK?!?!

I use www.mystateusa.com. Its quick, accurate, and efficient. I also get Amber alerts from this site.
A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

    Me too!

I get them from the weather channel but what frustrates me is they send messages like "An update to the severe thunderstorm warning has been issued" and of course no new information.

weather.com can't get yesterday's weather right!! www.weather.gov has a text alert I believe. That is getting it straight from NOAA.

Although I haven't used it in months, coz the weather hasn't changed in months. Every day = hot and sunny
If it ever starts raining again I might have to start checking the weather before work again :P

If you're out and about, do you really need a fancy phone app to tell if it's raining? My momma said to just hold out a red clay brick when walking and if it gets wet it's raining.

I can't say that I'd like getting texted every time they thought the weather was going to change... just sayin'.
I use weather widget on my droid, which is pretty similar to accuweather on my pc. I've found that 85% of the time their hourly forcast is pretty close. A lot of my work is outside inbetween raindrops and those are both pretty close for trying to plan my day.
