Outside your office? Life's rough. Only in Utah!
I just swapped on the winter set of tires, myself. It has gotten much colder the past few weeks. While it hasn't snowed yet, it's coming. Have a great ski season!![]()

Definitley don't have views like that here!
And to think... I was actually starting to sweat today. I may just put Utah on my visit list now.
We had snow today, and wind chill of 0 Degrees. Yep. Winter is here. Glad too - Colorado resorts need the snow - start the season!

I CAN'T STAND THE SNOW!!!
It was fun to play in when I was younger, but having to shovel and drive in the white stuff as I got older simply sucks.
If it just snowed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, that would be OK with me!![]()

That is beautiful. Uh, er, no need to share with me.

There's rumors that we are in for a "super la nina", as cold as it was back in the mid 50's, when most of the central valleys of California flooded. Morons down there have been building on flood plains and trying to get rid of the flood control dams. There's a reason the San Joaquin and the Sacramento are so flat: FLOODS.
68*F here today.... hope that's as cold as it gets, but I know it won't.

Nice! For the season after college, and a few more as a volunteer, my "office" was at the top of a ski mtn. In the ski patrol shack. I did pro patrol that first year and skied 6 days a week from Dec to March. That was a good time. Yeah, NC has a really short season. I have not been on skis in almost 10 yrs though.

Winter is a month late here. It rolled in this week pretty hard though between 7 and 8 thousand feet with strong winds and blowing snow. From 9 to 11 thousand all the seasonal roads are pretty much closed now and it's snow cats and sleds from here on in for the back country excursions.

Update: it's been snowing since I posted the picture. 4-6 more inches fell in town since then.....even more up on the hill. I hope this is a sign that the snorkel will come out on more than a few powder days this season. Yes...i said snorkel....it DOES get that deep and fluffy in the Wasatch Mtns.
Living in the desert for so long, I got frostbite just looking at the photo.
