    The Walking Dead on AMC

Did anyone else watch this show?

I have been waiting weeks for it to premiere. And I have to say, other that messing up some gun related stuff (the cops telling one guy to make sure he has a round chambered and the safety off on a Glock.) and a few few minor details I think it is one of the better Zombie related shows or movies I have seen.

Very well done. And the special effects are very well done too.

I noticed the thing about the glock also. Other than a few little things, I think this show is awesome!

I just watched it and thought it was pretty good. I see the CIA dude from Jericho is in it. I felt sorry for the horse. What was disappointing, if I understood it correctly, was narrowly missing contact with his wife. That story line is worn out.

I'm watching it right now. I love it!

So far it's pretty close to the comics. Hopefully it stays that way....

    Correction...
They seem smarter in the show then they did in the comics.

Okay- it's over. And I loved it. And if I remember correctly this episode was pretty much exactly the first issue. So if that's the case then they have 77 episodes of material left (and counting....)

Plus the point where he had his wife in the rifle scope was wonderful foreshadowing....

    I can't wait!!!!

Never read the comics, but watched the show late last night (rerun after the Saints-Pukesburgh football game). Seems to be pretty good. The special effects( or is it affects?) are really good. I'm looking forward to the next episode.

I have been waiting for this, but had to set the TIVO to record the series as it comes on past my bedtime, lol.....

Loved it! I usually can't stand that type of stuff....but I think I'm going to be watching the whole season. I wish I could hire someone to do me up like one of those zombies for Halloween. AMC has been doing some really great stuff, Breaking Bad is my favorite. +1 to the Walking Dead.

I have it on the DVR. Going to save the whole series I think.
I was willing to forgive that safety comment. The guy that said it was carrying a wheel gun and might not know any better. And the guy he said it to (remember him chambering the round?) probably needed to be told! What I am trying to figure out is what did he do after he chambered the round?

It looked like he was looking for the safety, or if there was one.

I will have to watch it again and turn the volume up, because I thought I heard a "click" as if he was thumbing a safety off. Could be I heard something else or maybe it was something someone else was doing.
So I guess it could be consistent with someone totally unfamiliar with their weapon, or the props guys gave him the wrong weapon, or the sound editor created a safety that wasn't there.
But heck, if that is as bad as it gets, I think it's a winner!

I thought everyone knew better than to go into a city. Shooting off that .357 in a tank would suck pretty bad. Yeah, the wife was messing with the partner before all this happened. A buddy will at least be sympathetic if not take your side, not downplay it or defend the wife's actions. Another gripe...zombies runnin all over the place and he picks a wheelgun and shotguns? Seriously?
