Definitely worth consideration. Engineering an adequate cooling system would be a challenge, given the frequency of waiting passengers.

Make it a two box system. One at surface level that passengers walk in and get checked. Positives get dumped into a lower level incinerator. Normal passengers go on through and off to Disney Land. Scoop out the ashes once a week.

I like it! Dumped through a blast proof trap door for further processing. American ingenuity.

Israelis have great security, but this isn't true. Think of all the mess to clean up.

IIRC somewhere in the time frame either prior or shortly after 9/11 (I am leaning towards prior) we did consult with the Israelis on airport security, and declined most if not all of their recommendations as "It would be offensive to the American Public".
Boom Box, Door number 2 for further detailed screening...I've no doubt that one day we will see the security lines automated to the point of a cattle stockyard diverting passengers to various checkpoints for "Quality Control".
On hiatus.
Hit my limit for speculation, the sky is falling, and gun owners fighting amongst themselves.

Very funny, but it could work, but what IF, your granny just happened to have something odd on her person and or maybe the system malfunctions, Well, having anyone's granny going boom is not a very
good thing. Remember folks, it's being done by the US Government and going to the lowest bidder, all the parts are fabricated in China or somewhere offshore. Think about it !
Now mother in laws may be in a different catagory here. I should not go any futher from this point. Nobody knows my mother in law do they ?

See post #23. They did a re-post. The two threads were then merged.
