How soon before they are pardoned because they are victims as a result of there impoverished upbringing ?
They weren't aware they were attacking a heavily armed war ship instead of a merchant vessel. Hmmmm lets see.... We could have made them very aware of the fact very easily, then we wouldn't have had to waste more money on their trial.
Bad job choice!
How insane...caught in the act...$$$ spent on arrest, trials, and now room and board...bullets are so much cheaper, with no cost for burial at sea.:smilygifs1076::dead::smilygifs1076::dead::smi lygifs1076::dead::smilygifs1076::dead::smilygifs10 76::dead:
Time to revive an old tactic of naval warfare.......The "Q" boat
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q-ship
I am copying this from my own response to another thread on this page......seems appropriate.
Saw a video a few weeks ago where a Russian patrol boat came upon some pirates. The only English that was spoken had one of the pirates saying that "We are a fishing boat" and the russian saying (as he ws standing over a PILE of guns.)"NO, you are pirates." The next scene is at night and a boat is buring fiercely on the ocean.
I sent it to a Russian buddy of mine and asked him what happened. He told me that the pirates were left on their ship and the Russians sank it.
That will stop recidivism also.
Arrr, make 'em walk the plank.
Three S's Surprise Shoot Sink
Life in an American prison vs. life in Somalia.
Prison:
Three squares, exercise, TV, a bed, a prayer mat, soccer, library, and a team of lawyers.
Somalia:
Mud hut.
I'd say the pirates won.
Don't let their brothers find out, piracy will skyrocket.
