    Talking Walmart Wine!!

    Walmart Wine

Walmart in the U.S. announced that, sometime in 2010, it will begin offering customers a new discount item, its own store-brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with Ernest & Julio Gallo Winery of California to produce the wine at an affordable price, in the $2.00-$3.50 range.

Wine connoisseurs may not be inclined to put a bottle of Walmart brand into their shopping carts, but "there is a market for inexpensive wine, "said Kathy Micken, professor of marketing at the University of Arkansas", and the right name is important."

Customer surveys were conducted to determine the most attractive name for the Walmart wine brand.

The top surveyed names in order of popularity were:

    10. Chateau Traileur Parc

    9. White Trashfindel

    8. Big Red Gulp

    7. World Championship Riesling

    6. NASCARbernet

    5. Chef Boyardeaux

    4. Peanut Noir

    3. I Can't Believe it's not Vinegar

    2. Grape Expectations

    1. Nasti Spumante

The beauty of Walmart wine is that it can be served with either white meat (Possum) or red meat (Squirrel).

P.S. Don't bother writing back that this is a hoax. I know possum is not a white meat.

I picked up some $3.00 Pinot Grigio the other day at Wal Mart, don't recall the brand. I don't drink wine, but I use a lot of it cooking.

    That's funny right there!

Our Wal Marts here already offer wines. My wife actually likes the 'Mad Housewife' Merlot. I don't do wines unless it's a white and served with an excellent dining experience/meal. Usually fish or pasta.

    Usually the Genache.
Last year we found the Boomerang wines to be most tasteful for the holidays and the meals. 2006 to be exact.
I know this was a funny post, but it somehow led to a discussion as well.

If Wal Mart sold their own line of wines.........we wouldn't know what's what because they would all have an Always Save label on them. Yellow or white....take your pick.

I live in a dry county. Walmart cant sell wine here.

And even if they could, it wouldnt be long until the wine came from China.
