Not saying this is what it is. But if you have ever seen a "fireball" it will make you scratch your head. Basically, it's a long, slow burning meteor that tracks across the sky. I saw one about 4am in mid December. It was so quite I could actually hear a noise like eggs frying. When I looked up I watched it for several seconds across the sky. It went far enough for me to move my head tracking it. I would likely not believe it if I had not seen it myself.
