    Local Vol. Fire Dept. praise.

I just want to say how proud I am of the work my local vol. fire dept. did.

Jack County Vol. fire dept. battled a grass/brush fire from Tuesday until Weds. night.

Saving my land and the house that my father-inlaw built with his own hands that I now live in. They worked and fought hard and won this battle with winds and very dry conditions. The equipment and personel performed as expected and I'm gratefull to have such dedication and talent ready to sacrifice thier time to save and help others in need.

We had our most prized possesion packed incase the fire got to close and had to evacuate...but they kept it under control.

I had to mow the beutifull field behind our house incase the fire reached it....but if that's the only "damage" from this event, I am thankfull.

Thanks again Jack County Vol. Fire Dept. I'm in your debt.

This Country would be in a real pickle if we lost the volunteer fire fighters, as that the only thing most of us have to count on. Only the larger cities have the paid fire companies.

My home town is considered a small city and we have both paid and volunteeer firefighters. We also have one of the finest volunteer Rescue Squads in the state. God bless all of them (all across the country) for giving their time to train and respond when someone is in need.
