    Ex Playmate of Year Critically Wounds Husband with PPK given her by Roman Polanski !

    The former 1968 Playboy Magazine Playmate of the Year, Angela Dorian, has been arrested for the attempted murder of her husband of 25 years, after shooting him in the back very close to his heart.

    While Dorian's husband, Bruce Rathgeb, initially survived the shooting, bullet fragments remain embedded inside him, right next to his heart. Yesterday, December 13th, it was reported in the media that Rathgeb has taken a decisive turn for the worse, and must now undergo very risky surgery this week in an attempt to try to save his life.

    As part of the police investigation, it has now been revealed that the Walther PPK used by Dorian in her assault was originally purchased and owned by the infamous Oscar winning film director Roman Polanski. Polanski gave the pistol to her 41 years ago, after the brutal murder of his wife Sharon Tate shocked the Hollywood community, sending many prominent Hollywood women ( including Dorian ) into a state of fear for their own safety.

    Here is a photo of Angela Dorian, shortly after being named Playmate of the Year, together with the car that Hugh Hefner gave her with her title:

    And here are some press reports with details of this amazing and bizarre story:

    She is known among serious Star Trek fans for her brief appearance at the end of the 1968 episode: Assignment Earth. In that episode, a cat that was a constant companion of actor Robert Lansing changes into human form, with Dorian playing that role.

    Her career mainly consisted of bit parts in movies and TV series. However, she did have the lead role in the 1970 movie: "When Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth"

    Is truth not often stranger than fiction? I don't think that anyone could have dreamed up a story this unusual.

    There are unconfirmed reports that Dorian's husband had been cheating on her with a younger woman.

    I think it might be a Hornet.

    Amazing she held onto the gun for that long. I mean, no reason to get rid of it, but it just seems odd for someone like her.

    That friends is a Rambler AMX. Two seater, 390 inch motor, 4 speed, posi, and a short wheelbase. Actually a pretty bad lad at the time.

    P.S. Don't call it a javelin, it drives owners nuts. Even though thats what it is. Kinda like calling a corvette a chevrolet.

    Well, with the way the law now is in California, there is no way that she can legally sell it in the state, since the PPK is not on the state's approved handgun list.

    Only person she could legally transfer it to would be her son.

    I guess that they must have been pretty powerful. It appears that they were popular among drag racers at the time:

    Now this is what I call real acceleration:

    Naaa, the AMX folks don't care.

    It's more like...

    AMC = General Motors
    Rambler = Chevrolet
    Javelin = Corvette
    AMX = ZR1
