What is the greatest moment in US history?

I discovered a pretty decent movie "The Dish". It is about some of the events around the Apollo 11 mission (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_11). It reminded me of what a great moment that was in US/World history.

Followed closely by this moment: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZOo6aHSY8hU

What do you think the best moment(s) in US history is/are?
We're all in favor of reducing violent crime. It's just that pro-gunners have a method that is proven effective. Anti-gunners don't.

A CCW is like a parachute; if you need one, and don't have one, you'll probably never need one again.

    Mark Twain:
The government is merely a servant -- merely a temporary servant; it cannot be its prerogative to determine what is right and what is wrong, and decide who is a
patriot and who isn't. Its function is to obey orders, not originate them.

Ram Rod has got it right. By signing the declaration, these brave men made themselves instant crimimals who would be put to death if caught by the British. Our founding fathers risked their futures and their fortunes to create ndependence. Many of the signers of the Declaration of Independence were wealthy men who ended up penniless and in debt. They gave everything so that future generations would have a chance at self rule, independence, and freedom.

God Bless each and every one of them on what was the greatest day in the history of America.

    Well said.
I am saddened that we, the future generations, have made a mockery of what they created.

Yeah, Buzz rocked that jackasses world. Don't call Buzz a liar and a coward.

    My picks would be:
Signing of the Declaration of Independence
Signing of the armistice ending WWII
The day men from the USA landed on the Moon

    +1 on the Constitution.

June 3, 1944 (D-Day) - one of, if not THE greatest miilitary exercise in US history.
