Mayor Bloomberg Miffed After Nightmarish Stories Go Public
Several people died as a result of not declaring a snow emergency and he is 'miffed' that the media found out.

Why aren't the people blasting the President for inaction the way they did during Katrina?

Bloomberg is a heinous, despicable low-life cretin.

He just happens to have a billion dollars.

NYC'ers voted him in. Don't blame the rest of the state for the cities lapse of judgement. ;)

Yup. In his third term. Must be doing something right. Let's face it, the poor response here was due to the timing. The storm started over the Christmas weekend when as many people as possible were already on leave.

We might not like him for his stance on gun owner rights, and we might not like NYC at all, but he has gotten the votes and by most accounts has done wonders for the city; this was indeed a bad storm at a bad time.

As for clearing the streets, no easy task with that amount of snow. Not everything is a broad boulevard. On most streets you can't even get two cars going in opposite direction when cars are parked on both sides of the street--and that is in good weather. No way to get the plows through when cars are parked, no place to move the snow, and of course the snow blocks both ambulance and emergency vehicle access. Bad things happen, and it isn't right to lay the blame for this mess on Bloomberg. Blame him if you like for his gun viewpoint, but no need to vilify him, especially if you don't even live there. (Not aimed at Saber, just a general comment on all who know nothing about The City.)

Probably would be just as miffed if a pigeon crapped on his ivory tower
