I've heard a saying - something about everyone having within themselves a Wolf and something else Good & when asked which one is stronger the answer is "depends on which one you feed"
or something like that.
Anyone here know how this goes???
For God, Family and Country!
Excellent story, I just passed it along to others.
BTW I recall hearing a quote by Will Rogers, though I can't find it anywhere, much less in any list of his notable quotes online. The quote goes something like........"when people live together in large groups (or cities?) they all tend to become riled up (cranky?)". Does this quote ring a bell with anyone?
thats the one my FILaw sent me in an email awhile back.
One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, "My son, the battle is between two wolves inside us all.
"One is Evil - It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt,
resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.
The other is Good - It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy,
generosity, truth, compassion and faith."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather: "Which wolf wins?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."
