New law when reporting the news?

Is there a new law that before you "report" on the need for gun laws you must start the article with one of these two openers...

"In light of the Arizona shooting" or "In the wake of the Arizone shooting"

Then you must state there is a need for law to make sure mentally disturbed people can not legally get guns; while making no reference to the fact we have these laws.

and write the article so Assault and GLOCK mean the same thing... and all of them are able to fire over 30 times WITHOUT RELOADING; as if they would have been happy if he had to throw a mag in the gun half way through???

I work in TV. I can tell you that I have actually asked reporters this kind of thing and the answers I have gotten are amazing. They range from the stupid anti gun comments of completely uninformed pin heads to those who just don't care to report anything close to the truth and are just looking for something that they feel will sensationalize their story and get it noticed.

Generally speaking, reporters, both the male and female varieties, are not very smart people and most of the time they are very lazy and lax at doing their jobs. I do not care for them for the most part.

In other words, don't confuse TV on-camera news reporters with "journalists."

Sure wish Michael Yon would get busy cloning himself.
