Looks like I'm not out of Indiana just yet.

I was in the running for a job with FedEx back home in Memphis but I got the word today that I did not get it.

So, it looks like the search for gainful employment back in Memphis continues and we will stay here in Indiana for a while longer.

Thanks for all the wishes of luck. I wish it had worked out better for us but, I have a job and a place to live and our family isn't hungry so I still have a lot to be thankful for.

Oh don't worry. I'm not going to stop looking. I'll find something sooner or later. I just want it to be sooner.

Hang in there Mike and it will come around for you.
It may take some time , but it will come.

Good attitude, Mike. I think God was telling you this wasn't the job for you... but the right one will come along.

Sort of disappointing, but something will come along when you least expect it and once again, you will call Tennessee home. I know, I get the feeling just by reading your post.

Usually when I get "feelings" I am right. Hang in there Mike it's going to happen.

dude! Why Memphis?? I know Indiana is bad, but Memphis?? Have you considered looking for a job in Nashville or Knoxville? I really love living in Knoxville, I'm hoping I can stay after I graduate this summer.

Having been through Memphis a few times, I hope you are talking about the 'greater metropolitan area,' not downtown.

    Hang in there, Mike.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

I was wondering same thing as "GoBigOrange". Why Memphis? Why not Nashville, Knoxville, or even Kingsport, Johnson City, or some other place. If you really want to move back to TN, then check out the entire state.

Mike, don't get mad, get even!!

Score a job with Purolator or one of the other couriers in Memphis, and steal all of Fed-Ex's customers!!

You never know, Fed EX is a huge company. Maybe their;s another position that you'll be offered.
