The Greatest Dog in America is Crowned Champion -- PHOTO

Hickory, a beautiful and well mannered 5 yr old female Scottish Deerhound, has been declared Best in Show at the famous Westminister Kennel Club Dog Show, the most prestigious dog show in the entire USA.

Here is a photo of Hickory, together with her handler Angela Lloyd:

This poodle made it to the finals, but failed to place high:

This dog scored poorly, as it struggled to follow its handler's commands:

Subaru was the official sponsor of the show, and ran ads during the television broadcast:

I'm with you. None of the dogs in that show look like anything I would be caught dead owning. *shrugs* to each his own I guess.

They are ALL ... good dogs, no matter what their parentage.

Congrats to Westminiter winner ............ it takes a lot of work and bribery. If you want a winner, get it to every show you can, spend at least $50,000 to earn the points to get into the show, and then...... if you've kissed up well to all of the right people and judges.... you might win something. But, the BEST in Show, is usually the one that really is.... the Best in Show.
