I hope the above link works for everyone.

"WASHINGTON (AP) - Medication mistakes injure well over 1.5 million Americans every year, a toll too often unrecognized and unfought, says a sobering call to action."

Something to bear in mind, perhaps, if your physician tries to tell you your family is not safe with firearms in your home.

They just had a show about that on the tube.

Yes, my family lived through a prescription medication hospital error & so did my my Wife with her father when he was quite ill.

Thanks so much for posting that link.

Slightly Off Topic But, somewhat related.
Also heard something interesting on the radio this morning about English staying the primary language in the U.S. & how all opinions changed on that...when people were asked if during a medical emergency they would want their attending physician to be able to speak directly to them in English or to be forced to converse with their doctor or surgeon through a third party interpreter.

Please don't throw the thread by falcon1 further off topic...I just thought I would mention that.

I have alluded in another thread to ''iatrogenic'' disorders - basically drug induced illness. It is way more common than many might realize.

Not only are mistakes made over handing out the wrong scipt but - many cases where folks are put on a cocktail of drugs - with often (seemingly) little thought to the interactions.

Pharmaceuticals can save lives but also screw them up badly - and yet I see some people taking them like candy
