The heck with it... i am going to ride my Goldwing Sat instead... the work will wait. After the long long winter, i cannot sleep at night thinking about all the work that waits, and have done plenty so far this spring. Bunker

OOOFA... been there, done that. Good luck! My wedding day was the happiest day of my life... the second most happy was my legal divorce. Bunker

You can't really start right out on all of that yard work after a long winter, it's not healthy. You need to at least take a few trips on you motorcycle to get your "motor" skills back in shape!

Overwhelmed is right. What makes it worse is my area is only seeing one day without rain every two weeks.

I hear ya. I started a new consulting gig last Monday and was out billable on the fist day. I have not been a consultant in 12 years, been in corporate IT so long I forgot how to BE a consultant, instead I paid them.
I thought I was having a nervous breakdown on Tuesday, turns out I was just sick and misread the symptoms (DOH!).

I thought that those jobs belonged to the younger crowd.
I had my gardens and shrubs mulched by a local firm and they will return tomorrow to paint/re-seal the decking.
I'm going riding.

I just had to put in a new sewer line, I dug it by hand and did it all myself to save money, haven't worked that hard in years. Have to fix interior trim, put down new flooring, and fix cracks in basement wall.
Working extra shifts to help pay tuition for the Mrs, who is now enrolled in a graduate program for her Masters.
Had to buy new lawn mower, cause the old one quit. As soon as I cut the grass with the new Cub Cadet, the damn weed eater broke.
Yeah, I'm feeling it.
My solution; putting the house up for sale today. Take the equity and pay off bills, purchase a used mobile home, and bank all my checks for the next 5 years. I'm done. I'll keep my land and that's it. Too much work and responsibility. Time to enjoy life.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

the oppisite of a 'sick' day--
when its just so nice out and you feel to good to go to work.
i'm self employed...my wife has this benifit (2 a year!) but i can only dream.
go, ride...have fun.
as i've noticed about others--that they do not always do as i think they will nor often as they say they will.
this not only makes life interesting, it makes it dangerous too.
