New Rhianna video?
First, I want to say that this is NOT my style of music. I saw it in a headline (in my news and weather app on my Android), and had to dig a little deeper.
Again, not my preferred choice of music, but I watched the video. I have to say I like the way the video was done. Song isn't bad.
Please, read the article/watch the video before you comment.

Maybe if they had shown the shooting as she was being abused it would get a better review, as it is now it shows her lying in wait and shooting him as he walks by. You have to watch the complete video to get the reason for the shooting.
When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

Definitely. But, I've found that it happens like that more often. Look at how most abused wives act (it usually takes a lot longer), but they don't fight back during the attack- they attack after the fact.

What's the problem? She had good trigger discipline and hit her intended target with zero collateral damage.
1 less scumbag

My thoughts exactly. But if you look at the poll on the site, there have been a bunch of sheep saying that it goes too far.

Not really... The woman was raped, then killed the man who raped her. 'Promoting the thug life' would have involved a guy beating and raping a woman spun into a positive light.

Disclaimer:
My opinion shouldn't be taken seriously due to the fact that I've been shooting guns for over 30 years and have only recently been active on gun forums, where all the real world knowledge apparently is.

Hot chick in tight clothing. And she moves her hips seductively.
It's art. Trust me.

Which, as it was portrayed in the video, is murder. She went home, got a gun and carefully shot him while he was walking amongst other civilians below her window. She was not in immediate danger. He did not have the ability or opportunity to do further harm to her. She was no longer in jeopardy. She murdered him.
Yeah, she might get off with a lesser sentence or charge for "extenuating circumstances" but the cold hard fact of the matter is it is not a representation of self defense. While the video doesn't bother me and I understand the sentiment it is not something I would praise or say is "good." I certainly would never say that what is represented is justifiable because it's not.
Justifiable? No. Commendable? No.
Understandable? Sure.

I'm not saying it's a wonderful thing to do, or have happen. Just saying that it's understandable. I mostly wanted to get it out there that what happened in the video was a good representation of a completely understandable reaction.

Yup, I agree. There was time to get the authorities involved and have a legal outcome. In the video, she even sings that "I am a criminal, criminal ..." She even gets it, although, I suspect the political message meant to be conveyed is that she does not think this should be a criminal act. I wonder how many young, uninformed women who are in a similar situation will see this "art" and emulate it in real life.
