Rupert Murdock is a horrible business man. In 10+ years, his stock has done absolute crap for returns. I dumped it a couple years ago for a loss too.

What happened to MySpace? Is it too simple to just blame its demise on Facebook?
No, I think it's pretty fair to attribute it to Facebook.
I was finishing up my last year of college when everyone began making the switch (this was when Facebook was reserved for those with .edu email addresses) and nearly overnight, everyone I know abandoned their MySpace pages.
Murdock bought high and sold low. He purchased it at its epoch, and everyone jumped ship for the next big thing. That's about all there is to it.
I still cannot understand why so many people want to share information about themselves on these social media sites. I like my privacy.
The number of people killed because they didn't have "enough gun" is dwarfed by those who had none at all.
