Are you active duty? I remember all the threats back in the 60's that you would be charged under the UCMJ if you got a tattoo and defaced "government Property." Didn't hear much more after ITR and then overseas, forget it. Everyone did what they wanted as long as it didn't show much. Are they more open to tattoos now?

I'd get an EMS, gun or 2A related tattoo if I ever found one I liked enough to have permanently affixed to my body.

it too looked nice when I was 18.

Although, not as nice as yours.
Enjoy it while you can.
Getting old sucks ... but it beats the alternative.
I love that look. I know its not as "clean" as it once was but to
me its like a fine wine, only gets better (more sentimental) with age

I got this....

as a temporary tattoo in honor of SHOT while we were there in January.
JD says if I had it cleaned up and drawn correctly (like the safety on the correct side of the gun) by a better artist he thinks it would be a pretty cool permanent tattoo to get.
I have wanted a tattoo (other than my ID tattoo on the bottom of my foot..lol) since I was about 17. Still haven't found that perfect design I'm willing to get permanently done.

I got 90% of my ink while on active duty with the Army,1984-1991. Not a word was said. I even had one done on the back of my right hand. Again not a word said. Fast forward to 2005 when I went into the AFR and every single one of my tattoos(even the ones not visible when in uniform) was photographed and submitted to my future unit and base commanders for inspection and approval before I could enlist. And I have nothing even remotely controversial. No naked women or depictions of violence/drugs/racism.... Definitely not getting more lenient.

Haha! I was going to make the same joke. I'm glad I read the whole thread first. : )
@Lima
I saw the tattoo picture and it's location and I thought OMG that is terrible!
Then I read that it was only a temp and I had to laugh. : )
I like the Lima avatar idea that QK mentioned.
