Everyone meet Star, a 2 year old full blood (we think) GSD that we resuced tonight. She is very affectionate but a little shy in her new home. We are having a nice relaxing evening so she doesn't have too much excitement her first night home. Attachment 52480Attachment 52481
I rescued a female Yellow lab/greyhound mix a few months ago,she was really subdued for the first couple of days, then the prozac musta wore off and she acted like I was a guest in her crib.Shes a real sweetheart and chewing on a rawhide by my feet as I type.I'm going thru 2 rawhide rolls a day to keep tooth marks off my screwdriver handles
I don't make jokes. I just watch the government and report the facts. --- Will Rogers --- Chief Justice John Roberts : "I don't see how you can read Heller and not take away from it the notion that the Second Amendment...was extremely important to the framers in their view of what liberty meant."
"Give this to, uh, Clemenza. I want reliable people, people who aren't going to be carried away. After all we're not murderers in spite of what this undertaker thinks."

Good on you for doing dog rescue. Those are great dogs too! Do you know any of her history?
We think she is between 2 and 3, she came into a Lufkin Texas animal control as a stray a few months ago with a litter of 12 puppies. The puppies where all adopted btw. The rescue thinks she's full blood and got dumped. She's been with second chance GSD rescue in houston for a few months and we met her at a petco adoption event. For the last week and a half we have been providing vet and personal references so we could adopt her. She's been wormed and is up to date on all shots and is chipped now. She actually slept in bed with the wife and I and our 2 other dogs last night.
She is beautiful. Shower her with love and she will know she has a home. With her sleeping with you last night I would say she already knows she has a good home. Bless you for taking her into your family. Bless all those who take these additions into their families.
What a beautiful German Shepherd! Sounds like she may be adapting well to her new environment. Dogs are wonderful companions, trustworthy, loyal, loving and can be very protective of their "pack" be it other dogs or humans.
