When my dad got in his older years.[ he passed at the age 92 ]. 1 thing i learned is that the he cared about was all his family was there. At that point in his life he had all he wanted that he could buy. JMO make sure everyone is there that she cares about and if she is like my dad that will make her day.

    pimp her walker?

actually--a history book of the towns/ areas she grew up in. Barns & nobles has lots of these by regions.
and if she has a box of old pictures you can perhaps match some up with those in the books.
if she still has her memory--it is a time machine, yes?

How's her eyesight, hearing, mind, mobility?
My mom, God bless her, is 102 and hanging in there, but the quality of life is gone.

It's hard to shop for someone who can't use anything. I send fruit and Godiva chocolates. Seems her taste buds still work!

Depending on her politics, this may or may not work. At one time, you could request Birthday Greetings from the White House for seniors. We did it once for my Father; went over well (he liked the Prez).
