    Police information is that about 4:10 am, the firearm holder was visiting a friend when he heard sounds coming from the back of the house. He went to investigate and allegedly found Folkes making his entry through the back door. Upon entering, Folkes reportedly attacked him with a knife and was shot.

    I believe that for quite some time, Jamaica was the only country in the world with a complete ban on guns for civilians. Usually, even in very anti-gun countries, there may be a few guys way out in the country with a smoothbore double barrel or such after heavy licensing.

    Interestingly, Jamaica also had one fo the highest murder rates in the world after they gained independence (despite the unprecedented complete gun ban). I believe they still do.

    Good to hear some of the good guys winning for a change in that country. It is a beautiful country, but outside of the touristy areas it can be a real deathtrap for outsiders and even long time residents.
