Can kids go to gun shows in Iowa?

Can't find any information on this. The show website does not say. We have one here next weekend. My Wife has to work and I'll have my three kids with me. I'd like to go if I can bring them. They are all under 10.

Check the website of the gunshow organizers...I've never had a problem taking my kids to gun shows, of any age.

Don't know about Iowa, but every gun show I've attended allowed children as long as they were accompanied by an adult. Some should be posted as Accompanied and Controlled by an adult!

Ok, thanks. Yeah, it's quite a job with three kids, especially when my wife and I work opposite shifts. My son turns three in October, can't wait till he gets old enough to buy him a bb gun or a .22.

Don't you mean to say that there will be, (four) kids at the Gun Show ....

Yes, but you have to open carry them. Only the mother can conceal them at a gun show.

He's old enough right now! maybe not to shoot it, but you certainly can buy him one.

    .
If I may offer a suggestion. Buy him one he can grow into and not one of them little kiddie guns that he will quickly grow out of. If needed you can always cut a few inches off the butstock then glue it back on when he gets bigger. Used to see that done a lot around here.

This isn't the UK. Bring them. Just make sure they know not to touch. You will probably regret it, as most shows I've been to will have plenty of toy/airsoft booths!

I bring my two..They are 7 and 9 now, but Ive been taking them for about 4 years now. Your little guy is old enough now for a BB gun. Get him started, you will love it.
