I realize this was probably from the 1960s, but watch his draw toward the end of this video. Pretty poor technique if you ask me.

He didn't have his hand ON his gun when he pulled it from the holster...just had the tip of the grip in his fingers...huh?

How dare you! You're talking about Napoleon Solo! I might not even be a gun owner today if it weren't for carrying my Man from U.N.C.L.E. lunchbox to school.

You're right, although not bad for from a buttoned suit jacket. The girl to his right, however, needs a LOT of work!

Friday night 9:00 never missed "the man from U.N.C.L.E. !

Seems like they used Walter p38's modified with short barrels & silencers.

That series taught me a cold war lesson: Thrush agents although mean well more "evil" than mean, they could'ent fight & they
    damn sure could'ent shoot!

I was in the 4th 5th & 6 th grade I think when that show was on.

    Thanks for the link ExactlyMyPoint.

    What fun!!!

Yeah, watch a lot of older 50's, 60's and 70's shows and movies and you'll see a lot of what are, by today's standards, pretty poor handling techniques. Interestingly, I think some of them were considered state-of-the-art at the time...but I don't think this was one of them!

I have a set of luggage tags with the UNCLE Logo on one side and my business card on the reverse. It always draws attention at the TSA stop at the airport. So does my Have Gun Will Travel Luggage Card I also use from time to time. Great Television then versus now.....

No one BUT highly trained Napoleon Solo could have pulled off that draw!

I scoured the internet and could not find bag tags. Lots of memorabilia, but no tags, did you make yours? Laminate?

The hottie secretaries were carrying the then state of the art Bucheimer holsters.

They were designed for cross draw and the ladies were drawing from the top.

This holster along with a Colt Detective Special were my first issue rig when promoted to detective in 1971.

Dem was da days my friends......
