New show 'Terra Nova' - they seem way under-gunned for dinos
So I've watched the 2-hour premiere and the first weekly 1-hour show of "Terra Nova". It's an interesting premise, where some of the residents from a horribly polluted Earth (circa 2154 AD) are sent back 85 million years into the past, to establish new homes. Of course, this is the Cretaceous era, and the 'new' neighborhood is full of dinosaurs (which we all love to watch on TV and movies).
I've seen them shooting at assorted dinos, with seemingly little effect. I'm totally perplexed, as you'd think in 2154 AD they would have much more lethal weaponry than we currently have. It seems like they'd be better of with a old-fashioned BAR or a Ma Deuce (and maybe some AP rounds). I don't know what they're using, but it just seems like they are terribly under-gunned for dinos.
Anyway, just curious if anyone else is watching, or has picked up on this.
