He died of cancer, not a self defense related action.

Thanks JD. I thought it was a little harsh to just shut it down instead of moving it to the appropriate place.

It is sad to hear of Mr. Jobs' passing. He was a technological wizard in the computer industry, and the loss of his contributions will no doubt stifle a lot of future innovations.

    Rest In Peace Steven.

It is sad. Mr. Jobs has been dealing with Pancreatic cancer for some time now. Sympathy & Condolences go out to his family.

Bet 50% doesn't go to the gubmint. SJ would have trusts administering trusts that administer trusts.

utmost respect for the man and all he has done in his lifetime. I could only hope to achieve a fraction of what he has accomplished......still remember the first desk top Apples that appeared one day in the Human Resource Department of the company I was working. We all stared at them like the Apes and the Monolith in "2001: A Space Odyssey". His contributions revolutionized the way we work and amazing man. He will be missed.

He revolutionized many different industries, let alone one. A remarkable man that loved elegant design that worked in an elegant fashion.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."

Sorry, couldn't resist. He was truly an innovator that undoubtedly changed the world though.

Here, buy a new phone for $600.

(6 mos later) Here is a $200 rebate for shafting you so bad on that $600 phone 6 months ago. Now go spend it in my store and at least another $50 out of your own pocket... (ps: the next phone is coming out in 6 mos, buy it too...)

A true innovator on how to maximize the spending dollar out of your client.

Never liked Apple computers. Grew up on an Apple and a PC. Worked on both through college. Worked as a desktop publisher and quickly figured out I could do the same thing on both with a similar number of keystrokes...
