Oh yeah there is! Blue Nose was my first deployment, Golden Dragon my second, and the Golden Shellback and the Order of the Ditch on my third deployment. I was wondering if the 'abuse' would ever end. Now after 21 years of Naval service, I (we) stood taller than everyone....... there are too few of us even in active duty Navy, fewer still in the submarine service I just retired from.

I guess we're the one's left to lead the 'wogs' in the traditions of our brothers before us..............

In a previous life I was a radio DJ...It was my air name because my real name was "too ethnic" back in the day...

Way back in highschool, my buddy that I pumped iron with called me 'Baby Hulk' cuz I'm short but was bulking up at the time. Sorry, not into comics, but I like the moniker.

Arkie...live in Arkansas, and was 45 when I started using the name. I was a beta tester for AOL way back when, and was Arkie. Eventually, there were a lot of Arkansans using the name, so added the 45 about 11 years ago. Now I can apply the 45 to this:

Came on my birth certificate and never felt the need for a crafty screen name to hide behind.

my username (and email addresses etc) all came from nothing. the 9890 are next to each other on the keyboard and I the y and the z are just letters.

I need to hide behind mine :yup: because in my years of moderating, editing, banning, and deleting some of the "highly over emotional" folks on this forum I'd have had all of my vehicle and house windows broken by now. :rofl:
