    More Lunacy from the UK

"Granny arrested after taking on teenage yob"

    An excerpt:

"After months of torment from a gang of yobs, grandmother Diane Bond finally stood up to them when she was taunted while walking her dog.

Subjected to a torrent of foulmouthed abuse, the frail 64-year-old prodded the teenager ringleader gently in the stomach when he urged her to 'hit me, if you dare'.

Moments later, the 5ft 1in pensioner found herself flat on her back and nursing a broken arm after the 15-year-old boy, who was seven inches taller, pushed her to the ground.

But that was just the start of her ordeal. A few hours later police officers arrived at her door and hauled her off to the station for three hours of questioning under caution."

Incredible! I can't believe some of the stories that have been coming out of the UK lately, it seems civil rights and liberties have totally disapeared over there.

    "yobs"?
Is that the English word for punks?
I think those "yobs" are in need of a good a$$ whoopin.

If she would have been a good victim, the police wouldn't have needed to question her. They could have told the "yob" to stop and sent him home like the burglars and thieves.

Maybe she should have asked one of the nice constables to talk with the youths, I’m sure that they would have shown due respect for his authority.

From about 1670 to 1914, it was. Not bad for a tiny little Island that founded the largest empire in the world.

The US has only been on the top of the heap since 1945

    Hmm... Reminds me of California.
Perfect example of why I joined the NRA while I still could. Now if the thug-life wanna-bees had believed that she MIGHT be armed...

Well everyone's mother normally gets a little batty as they get on in years. Apparently they are hiring british cops in Calgary Alberta because of manpower shortages, would be interesting when they issue them their gun: "What's this for? and what are all these little shiny things with holes at one end?"
