A recent great quote from a Navy SEAL
Dana Perino (Fox News) describing an interview she recently had with a Navy SEAL.
After discussing all the countries he had been sent to, she asked if they had to learn several languages.
His reply: "Oh no ma'am, we don't go there to talk."

That has got to be the greatest comment I have ever heard

Another comment I read some time ago from General Swartzkoff when asked about forgiving the enemy.Hhis responce was " My job is not to give forgiveness, but to arrange the meeting with the One who does. My kind of General for sure.

Why I'm a conservative.
Check out Dana Perino, former press secretary for Bush 43.
Check out Robert Gibbs, former press secretary for Obama.
Any questions?
She is one classy lady, and even got a black eye in the shoe throwing episode in some muslim paradise.

SEALS are just a different breed, that's for sure. I worked with a former SEAL once. I knew I was "in good" with him when he walked up behind me, grabbed me in a head lock, and whispered in my ear, "You know I could kill you right now."
Then he patted me on the back and walked off. A mutual friend assured me he only did that to people he really liked. Great guy, but like I said; different.

Definitely a different breed. Served on the Dallas, the first 688 retro-fitted to carry the DDS as a replacement for the Archerfish. We did plenty of OPS and training exercises with them and the team chief and I became pretty good friends, but like said above, different.

I'm not sure if it's the Seal's motto but I recall someone once said, "Be polite and respectful, but also be prepared to kill everyone you meet".

I don't carry a gun because I'm angry.
I carry a gun so that I don't have to spend the rest of my life hating
myself for failing to be prepared.
