It's entertainment, pure and simple. I enjoy it and don't try and analyze their actions. If I did that I wouldn't be able to watch it anymore. Does everything make sense? No. Does it need to? Again, no. It's a show, it's escapism, it's not reality and I don't treat it as such. Just my $0.02.

I watched 2 episodes and called it quits. I like to avoid shows that would have me be stupider than I actually am. Anyway if I feel like watching zombies I can see the real thing down at Walmart.

Or Hummers, or any new vehicle (like a NEW RV) from any of the deserted dealerships, but no.... they gotta drive around in a '77 Winnebago!

don't forget a gas guzzling grand cherokee...... a couple APC's or humvees with roof mounted crew served weapons would clear the streets pretty quickly.

Shane showed some semblance of intelligence when he started preparing the gas miser KIA an episode or so back, but your suggestions would work too.

Tanks & Hummers would make things too easy.....no chance for them to get caught = no suspense or fun for viewers & would make for too dull a show.
Finally the third show was half-way decent.....hope they continue to improve, not ready to give up on the show yet.

Exactly, that's why in another thread I wrote if we used common sense, the episodes would only last about 15 minutes.

Bela Lugosi right?! Maybe not...I'll have to refresh my memory but I remember liking White Zombie...had a different premise about zombies than that of the Romero genre if I remember? The traditional slant where the zombies were controlled by someone and sent to do their evil bidding??? It's been so long...Thanks for bringing that one up though!

Yes sir, more along the lines of the Haitian Zombie. I think George gets the credit for adding the human flesh craving to the zombie lore.

By coincidence, just last night I was reading the following articles about "real" zombies in Harper's: An Excerpt from ?I Walked with a Zombie??By Hamilton Morris (Harper's Magazine)
