Is being too nice bad .
I pose this question to all .
I have been told I am too nice of a guy .
I have heard that more than one time in life .
Some of my former employers ( that have sold biz or retired ) have said real nice guy very loyal honest.
Here is the thing - being too nice can get you taken advantge of ( know that first hand too :blackeye:)
Thoughts please .
I have heard it said that "Nice guys finish last" but do not believe it. Being too nice is not a bad quality, it just seems like those who are extremely nice get walked on by those who are not.
Don't worry, the one's who take advantage of your being nice will one day get "repaid" for their unkindness. Like that other saying, "What goes around, comes around."
Stay nice, it is better to be that way than the opposite.
I always try to be nice or respectful to everyone until they prove they should be treated otherwise.
I laugh too much, sounds weird I know, but it's true. It's my way of conquering nerves... problem is, it's been said that you shouldn't trust people who laugh a lot. :(

It may not always be obvious, it may not always be quick, but it happens.
Remain a nice guy but do not be either a fool or a pushover. There is a difference between being nice and letting folks take advantage of you.
As for those who indeed screw you over, sit back and relax because they will always get theirs.
An old saying attributed to some native American Indian tribe is roughly--"Sit quietly on the bank of the river. Eventually you'll watch the bodies of your enemies float by." It is true. Stay nice. You'll come out ahead. You may even have the satisfaction of watching your enemies float by.
Better to be nice, you don't want to join the other team!
All I know is that my sister, in her younger days, was quite a "looker" and she only went for the bad boys.
The nice guys never had a chance.
Such is love.
So...how is your sister?

OP I know what you mean it seems good things happen to undeserving people, I try to think of it as they may win some of the battles but the good people will win the war.
Continue to be nice, but set some boundaries. Boundaries set ahead of time are good for keeping you from being taken advantage of.
Case in point, I have a family member that I have loaned money to in the past. She has always paid it back. But we have changed the boundary now, no money. She has not asked again, I think she has a suspicion. And generally when I "loan" money I just figure I'm not getting it back. Saves some problems and keeps you from giving too much.
Someone once told me, "If you want people to say nice things about you when you die, you have to do nice things while you're alive."
Maybe not but, butchering forum grammar is, and that is too bad. :)

Being nice is not a bad thing. Having good manners is a good thing too, though rarely seen these days. Common sense will tell you when it is time to get unpleasant. Always remember, it is never time to treat someone rudely.
What is freighted?
