Ummm, yeah, that's what I mean. You keep hearing references to "common sense" gun laws. What could be more "common sense" and appealing to the general public than keeping guns out of the hands of psychopaths? It's along the lines of the "common sense" idea of banning people from purchasing guns who appear on a "terrorist watch list". Once you are labeled as a "potential terrorist" or "potential psychopath", it's up to you to produce the proof that you aren't and get yourself removed from the list. Meanwhile, no new guns for you and of course, we'll have to have the ones that you already own also.
