Yes, I'm sure King John didn't think it was fun and games when he was forced to sign the thing.

Leave to pound scum to come of with this crap.
Take some deep breaths, get relaxed and go back and re-read post #42. Those British Barristers who debated their American counterparts in Philadelphia are not your enemies. They were just here for some sport.

Borders has changed throughout history, are any of them legitimate?

They are as long as the country that defines that border maintains it and overpowers any who contest it.

Gentlemen, these exercises in thought are best over a scotch on the rocks, or perhaps a cold beer. Shall we indulge ourselves, have a smoke and regather our inner most philosophical selves as we trudge along?
    The bar is open... :)

I wonder how these same lawyers feel about the recent rebellion in Libya? Moammar Gadhafi's government was the "legal" government of Libya. But England, via the UN, aided in the insurrection there. That is probably different though, after all Libya wasn't a Crown possession.

This wan an exercise in academia!

The British lawyers weren't truly serious. It was a debate! Nothing more!

All this patriotic indignation is ill founded and frankly hilarious!
