Garbled audio and fuzzy screen notice. If this is supposed to let the president speak to us, it's perfect. Now the Big Brother can interrupt big brother with one finger. Next week the INTERNET kill switch will light up. Not to worry, the next jihad attack will be broadcast on HAM radio, unless CAIR complains that ham is haram...oh wait...never mind.

Now THAT is a government agency with a solid set of priorities....
The FCC is very busy assessing fines and auctioning off segments of the spectrum to the highest bidder. If you want them to actually do something usefull and significant they are going to have to devote resources to something other than generating revenue. What do you want them to do, save lives or collect money?

OH...the test of the Emergency Broad Chasing System?
I chased a couple of cute girls around the block yelling "Emergency!...Emergency!" but, they were too quick for me & they got away.

Static on the radio here NORTH of PGH. <~~~

Well, now the Govt can simultaniously kill all TV & Radio broadcasts & The Internet.

All that remains is to shut down the newspaper publishers and mail out copies of the Communist Manifesto & The Little Red Book & PRESTO! CHANGO! - there is the "Change" that people voted for.

I am in central IL, there was no notification on the TV. No change in audio or video and the "all hazards" radio didn't activate.

Hmm. What if the government wanted to communicate with the citizens and no one thought the government had anything of value to say any more? We are almost there. Today was just another example of waste.

Heard the noise but no words.

    Typical government.

The whole thing was a big flop and they think they can run Health Care. My understanding on that is they have already missed several dead lines which they themselves set.

Had a clear warning sound and then garbled audio with the warning sound in the background here.

It said "I'm from the government and I'm here to help you"

    Actually, nothing noted.

Didn't hear a thing. I didn't even know there was going to be a test. The local tests always work fine...hmmm.

I turned on a radio to local classic rock station, didn't hear anything but good tunes.

So we have a national emergency broadcast system for 50 years, this is the first time they try a national test, and it's a big dud. Despite weeks, months of preparation.

Can we get a refund on all that's been spent on it?

I unplugged my TV and took the batteries out of my radios.

There is no way I'm letting the government run tests on me.

I heard the opening tones...followed by "This is a test of..."....then silence....then the closing tones.

I am out of the loop, did not even know there was a test; flashback to high school.

Same here at 13:03 CST on Cox Communication cable.

Blue screen with white wording alternating in English and Spanish.

    Lasted nearly 2 minutes.
