Well, happy birthday. I'm still 17 myself.

I swear, I remember the day I got my drivers license like it was yesterday. I remember my first kiss. My first real date. I remember being 17. I remember Boot Camp like it was just last week. So how the heck can I be 44 years old now?!?
I fought in Desert Storm just the other day! How can that actually have been 20 years ago?? Where did all the time go and how did it go by so fast?
Well, happy birthday. I'm still 17 myself.

Sorry, you actually got old when you turned 30! Don't you remember the old saying, "Don't trust anyone over 30."?
Oh right, you're probably too young to know that one! Happy B'day by the way.
Happy Birthday, sonny... I was improving T55 engines when you were schlepping around in the sandbox (and thanks for that, by the way).
You're not old unless you let yourself think that way.

I turned 44 in September, and to be honest I don't feel old at all, and from your post I sense that you don't either. I may be a little more tired at the end of the day, and maybe a little wiser than I was 20 years ago, and certainly have less hair , but "feeling old", imo, is as much a state of mind as it is a physical reality.

Be reasonable. See things my way.
Happy Birthday, Mike.
I find I have to work harder to stay in shape, and I'm no where near as strong as I used to be.
But I have money now.

You are old enough to know what you are doing and young enough to have fun doing it. My 52nd was about 3 weeks ago so 44 aint old, its a good caliber. Happy birthday enjoy it.
Yes Mike, I hear you, I feel your pain.
I celebrated the big "double nickel" age in September. I'm still looking back wondering where in the heck all those years went.
My parents used to say that when I was in my 20's and I thought they were crazy. Suddenly, I have "become" my parents.

"He went on two legs, wore clothes and was a human being, but nevertheless he was in reality a wolf of the Steppes. He had learned a good deal . . . and was a fairly clever fellow. What he had not learned, however, was this: to find contentment in himself and his own life. The cause of this apparently was that at the bottom of his heart he knew all the time (or thought he knew) that he was in reality not a man, but a wolf of the Steppes."
You get old the day you receive your first social security check.
I carry to protect myself and my loved ones from the BG's. Not to solve societies problems. That said: if more carried the deterrent would only have a positive overall effect on those problems.
Happy Birthday! Have fun, and don't let anyone tell you that you're old- at least, not until you're past 50...

I remember like it was yesterday exactly what I was doing the moment we heard JFK had been shot......so quit your whining.

Happy birthday. 44 is a great place to be. You can still do stuff you did when you were 20 and you are still far from the finish line. Cheers.
