    Absolutely. If we could get more people to get licensed, it could be pretty close to this. I mean, even if just half of the occupants were armed it would be just as effective.

    Of course, it would be a self-defeating solution, sort of. Once that many people started carrying, crime would go down, which would tend to make people stop carrying... then crime would increase, etc..
