    BAld Eagle.....

This afternoon one of my sons-in-law and I were at the range shooting our M4s and pistols. Had a good, time! Then on the drive back, as we were driving along the Stillwater river, we had a huge Bald Eagle flying right besie the truck about 30 feet away--right at our level--it was pretty cool. The pics are of the range area this spring--it is not quite so green now, lots more white.......

Good looking range! Bald eagles are very pretty birds, glad they won out over the Turkey. However, if things don't change here soon, we may have to re-call the Turkey!

Good-looking range, anytime you see a bald eagle in the wild it is a treat.

saw one flying over I-5 this morning coming home from church. I'm thinking of going up river to see them there. Never gone to see them when they congregate for the fish. It was neat one time to see them on the mud flats south of Fidalgo Island, there must have been 15 among the rocks and pilings.

I think if I was up in God's country like those pictures, I'd be a chaplain as well. You're blessed to live in such a gorgeous area - and have a close pass from a bald eagle? Magnificent. Thanks for sharing!

Earlier this year, I was driving up WV State Route 2 for a musical engagement. I looked up and thought I saw a large Turkey Vulture, but as I passed beneath, I could see that it was a Bald Eagle.

The white head and tail was clearly visible and yes, it was big, most likely a male. It was the first time ever in my 50+ years of seeing one in the wild, let alone where I live. Rt. 2 is very close to the Ohio River and there are some wetlands just to the north of where I was going that someone said they spotted one while bird watching.

Seeing our National symbol is indeed thrilling.
