How bad does it have to get...

Before the American people wake up and decide to take the country back? What do you think will be the final event that sets it off? I posted on another thread and it got me thinking... Between big govt slowly taking away our freedoms (2A), our constitutional rights being constantly violated (1st, 2nd, 4th, the 10th for states, etc), TSA blatantly violating the 4th, the 2012 NDAA, the Continuity of Government plan (the fact that they have a plan tells us they see a revolt coming); what's the trigger point? I'm not trying to engage in tin foil hat conspiracies or theories, but the fact that there are hundreds of empty prisons around the country and then you read the 2012 NDAA and you learn what they might be for is kinda scary. What are your guy's thoughts on all this? Do you think a revolution is coming? How soon? Do you think it will be a revolution fought with the pen or a gun?

I keep seeing posts (and ads on TV) and stuff about "taking our country back." Excuse me, but from whom? Why? How?

There is something sinister in the proposal. It is no longer a statement that you don't like things the way they are, it is a statement that some others have seized something which must be retaken. And that is not true *unless you think the voting machines are rigged.

Do you seriously think that your slogan is anything more than empty words or should be anything more? And if you do think it should be something more than empty words, I sincerely hope you are contributing to politician's campaigns, volunteering in them, maybe running for office yourself.

If you think the process for "taking something not lost back" should involve violence, please don't slur the good name of law abiding weapons owners by giving others cause to think we are all raving nuts and revolutionaries. Some are, most aren't.
If the Union is once severed, the line of separation will grow wider and wider, and the controversies which are now debated and settled in the halls of legislation will then be tried in fields of battle and determined by the sword.

Hold on one second, I have to adjust my tin foil hat.

That's better... I think some kind of catastrophic economic brake down could trigger civil unrest in America and beyond.

There will be no meaningful change for the better as long as the majority of voters get a handout from Uncle Sugar. Wait until 40-50 million foodstamp cards stop working because we have spent ourselves into oblivion. Things will get real ugly real fast.
There are simply too many people who think they are owed something for this country to change. At this point the politicians are just there to manage the crash. If they can bring it down slow enough people won't revolt. If the crash happens too quick, there will be riots in the streets and we will likely see a second Civil War.

It's not that the voting machines are rigged... It's just that they keep letting dead people vote!

For those of you who text and talk on your cell phone while you drive, manage to keep ahead of all other traffic, ride in the passenger seat with your eyes closed, obey only the traffic laws that are convenient, never use turn signals, never come to a complete stop at stop signs, blow off red lights if it hasn't been red for more than 3 seconds or all of these, there is already anarchy on the roads. There would have to be a policeman for every driver in order to enforce current traffic laws and it gets worse every day.

The FCC has given up trying to police CB-radio and all but done the same on the VHF band. Only the Coast Guard will bother to complain if you misuse the marine frequencies.

My point is, we basically only obey laws voluntarily. There are not enough police, military and National Guard if anarchy were to spread to every phase of everyday life. Illegal immigration is a perfect example of system overload. Medicaid fraud, Insurance fraud, Income tax fraud, Welfare fraud, Identity theft and many other types of non-violent crimes cost taxpayers billions of dollars a year. The longer we wait, and by "we" I mean those in charge, the closer we will be to riots and fighting in the streets.

Fixing things in a country like the U.S. is more difficult than in non-democratic societies because in this country the bad guys, leeches and scam artists are also the voters. When things go to hell here, I fear it will be too late to stop it.

Pens and voting booths, in 2012 and 2014. We all need to be out there working at the neighborhood, precinct, district and state level for every candidate that stands for what we want, against what we do not want. I may not have the perfect candidate to support and vote for, but I sure know which ones I want gone.

    Sedition? Nope. Foment violence? Nope.

What happens when the average individual no longer trusts the voting process?

We're already seeing frequent instances of voter intimidation and outright fraud.
I think that if the country stays as equally divided as it seems, few are going to trust the results
of ANY election. Frustration will boil over and we will see violence. (from all the various political viewpoints)
It'll start out sporadic and minor but will continue to grow until there is mass chaos and someone IMPOSES order.

But then again, I'm an optimist.

An honest voting process is the bigggest thing preventing the collapse of our Republic and it needs to be kept as clean as possible.
This includes honest and informative campaigns and reporting. Two battles we are LOSING bigtime.

But it all comes down to us. We as individuals needs to keep ourselves and those around us educated. We as individuals need to
keep the voting process honest. We as individuals need to hold ourselves and those that represent us accountable to our/their actions.
As Gungeezer pointed out We as individuals need to be aware, respect, and obey the system and the laws we have allowed to be implimented.

I think that until a sense of personal responsibility is restored to the general populace (myself included) we will continue to slide down into nightmare.

I'm starting to rant , what was the topic of this thread again.

The "TSA blatantly violating the 4th" doesn't hold water, IMHO.

You consent to be searched when you decide to fly. There is no 4th Amendment issue raised from a consensual search.

What if you do not consent, do you still get to fly? Nope. So in reality, it is forced upon those folks that like to fly..

Flying is a voluntary commercial transaction between you and the airline. You consent to the search when you voluntarily decide to fly commercial.

    Ergo, no 4th Amendment issue.

I do not question the validity of submitting to a TSA search as a prerequisite to boarding an airplane. I question the extent to which it is carried in certain situations which I can only attribute to poor training or over-zealous agents.

A week ago, my 93 yr. old mother-in-law flew down from Chicago/Ohare to Tampa/Clearwater. She was accompanied by her daughter, an employee of the airline with more than 40 yrs. of service and seniority up the ying-yang. The mother-in-law is in a wheel chair and besides a number of other health issues, like a recent stroke, has moderate Dimentia. After a pat-down she was taken to a room and searched along with her small, pet dog who was in a travel cage. They claimed they suspected or found traces of drugs on her wheelchair. DUH! She is 93. She is on so many different medications we need a shopping cart to go to Walgreen's. If CVS runs low on anything they call us. They even did a more thorough search of her daughter who usually gets passed right on through because of her status. All-in-all they were detained over an hour nearly missing the flight. Needless to say, my mother-in-law was traumatized by the whole procedure and for the first 3 days just wanted to go back home. It was a good thing she didn't know where she was and didn't really know where home is but I don't look forward to taking her to the airport for her return trip. Did I mention that they even checked her diaper? That's pretty crappy, well, you know what I mean.

Take the country back from whom? Take it where? The 1800s?

In November i added 5 guns to my collection. I get to carry almost everywhere I go. I have about 6 different gun shows set to record on my DVR. Many other hunting shows as well.

I am spending today with many family members that all work hard and earn a descent living. I have a job that I love and I have 4 kids that have great teachers in a great school.

We have been members of the same outstanding church now for several years.

I'm not ignorant to what is happening in our country. But realize too... Obama has accomplished NOTHING that has effected my gun rights! And we still live in the greatest country in the world! Life is good!

    Merry Christmas!!

It'll take superman to stop the freight train.

The Rothschild's plan to control the world is more than 250 years old. They got rich off the Bonaparte wars from both sides. They have been using spin and the media ever since a courier with the plans was intercepted before the French revolution. Andrew Jackson kicked them out of the US, but Wilson let them back in with the FED and income tax. When they control a country's money, they control its government. JFK said he found out about the plot to destroy America and was going to reveal it, seven days before the Dallas motorcade. After Nixon took us off the gold standard, the banksters have inflated us out of and stolen our wealth. Soros has purchased grain distribution facilities on the coasts, and now he is buying up Midwestern farm land. The FDA is regulating small farms and family gardens to death. When they control the food supply, they control the people. This is a repeat of what they did in the Balkans after Clinton, his campaign financed by the Rothschilds, bombed Serbia, the only opposing nation, itself being terrorized by Albanian jihad.

The US army has a video to recruit "Internment/Relocation Specialists" for the National Guard. FEMA is soliciting bids for double fencing, cafeteria, sanitation, etc. Army exercises are focused on civil disorder. Air Force drones are being used in the Dakotas. Habeus Corpus and Posse Commitatus are superseded by the Patriot Act and indefinite detention. The UN has been given national parks as international preserves and will soon put them off limits to humans. UN Agenda 21 is being implemented in local zoning ordinances. The UN small arms treaty will be used for citizen disarmament. Wasteful trillions are being used to monitor us.

The state needs a "Reichstag" moment, a crises, to declare martial law. The SEIU is training union operatives to incite violence from the OWS useful idiots this spring. False flag jihad may be used again. A flue pandemic may be unleashed to utilize the millions of stockpiled grave liners. An EMP may set things off. Who knows if elections will be "postponed." If they do take place, we can assume ACORN, by any other government funded name, and the Black Panthers will insure election fraud. When those in the unions, on the public payroll, or the entitlement dole, along with their voting spouses and families, reach the tipping point 51%, a return to our founding father's dream of a constitutional republic is lost.
