Curious: How is your winter weather for 2011/2012?

Today 1/5/2012 in SW Wisconsin the temperature hit 56 deg. no snow on the ground and haven't had a snowfall of over 1/2" yet. Personally I love it. I'm sure many don't but for me I only hope it lasts till April. Anybody out there experiencing what you would call a worse than usual winter?

The temps are extremely mild (w/ record highs) for much of the U.S. - for now.

T-Shirt weather (for me) predicted for PA tomorrow - a high of 50 degrees.

Freakishly warm here in Nebraska. We were up to 66 or 67 degrees today.

Mild to date, and not enough moisture.

but for the Oct 29th storm that broke trees and dumped 3+ tons of broken branches on my patio and yard...

been no more snow and temp is 8 degrees above the local 30 year moving average.
can't say what compares to 'normal' in CT cause it aint so. last year the snow banks hid even the SUV's
on this day and we were shoveling out from storm #6 or 7...or 8.

Delaware has on the whole, been warmer than normal. Past few days it went down to 20 degrees, yesterday we got about 1/4" of snow, gone by today.

Boring... We smashed rainfall records this year, I was hoping that would continue with snow. We had one pitiful dusting last week. I'm waiting for my 6"+ storms

So far, West Virginia has had a rather mild winter. The snow fall in the Appalachians has not been as expected so the ski resorts are not happy.

Have had a few cold snaps and a bit of snow here in Huntington, but that's about it. Not like last January when we were hammered with snowfall, cold and all that.

It can change however, and can be much worse. I'm thinking that this year will be mild.

Here in central NC it has been mild overall. We're forecast for the mid 60's today and tomorrow, where the normal is about 50. We had the first real cold snap earlier this week with lows around 16-20F (below normal) but that is about it. We should start seeing signs of spring (birds start returning and flower bulbs pop) in about 4 weeks, though it won't usually turn pleasant for a while after that. Last year, winter hit hard in Dec, Jan and then turned off come Feb.
