GM, think of how many glock 'accidents' would not have happened at all if there was a back-strap palm safety.

that stilll does not excuse unsafe gun handling. but it does help protect idiots from themselves without making a difference
    in how the gun handles.

It sounds to me that the weapon performed exactly like it was designed -- pull the trigger and it goes bang!!!

That the media calls if "accidental discharge" does not surprise me at all, but what I think is funny is Sgt. David Walker's commentary, "The person was just looking at the gun, and he was unfamiliar with it and it discharged".

I watched a guy at the county fair bend spoons by just looking at them when I was a kid. Maybe it was the same guy?

Three things are required for an "accidental discharge" .... well 4 to be dangerous , but eliminate one of them and it won't happen.

    1. a gun
    2. a bullet chambered
    3. pulling the trigger.
    4. no muzzle control.
