    Congrats.

    Nice going, Tim!

Now comes the fun and enjoyment of owning your very own farm. Hope and pray that all goes well with it.

    Thanks all!

@ SIXTO: I actually have a 9N at my deer camp and we use it there to mow, plant and drag deer. The problem is that deer camp is about 65 miles away in PA and I don't have the truck to haul that sucker back and forth as often as I'd need to.

Congratulations! Nothin' like good farm machinery!

I need me a tractor with a front loader myself.

Congrats! You're going to have some fun. I agree on the 4WD on the tractor. My Kubota has 4WD, and the only time I don't use it is while mowing. The bucket is very handy, a plow and disk if you're going to garden. The backhoe attachment is especially handy with bugler disposal. Kubota rocks!!

    Excellent news!

Once you get established there and get some appropriate berms shoveled into place, you'll need to pull together the "First Annual Timmy DC Invitational Shoot"! If you're clever you can turn that into an old-fashioned barn-raising!

+++ on getting a MFWD (4wd) Tractor w/ loader. Look at what you will need and then go bigger. You'll be surprised how many times I could do X if my tractor was just a bit heavier, more hp, etc. Small = repairs after saying well it should be able to do ...
