Hello All. In the last few years my uncle retired and closed the doors to his custom sign and lettering business that he owned for many years. Since then, he has taken to nature photography; traveling around the US and taking pictures of only wild animals that are in no way captive. In 2010 he traveled to Alton, Illinois where every winter hundreds of Eagles gather on the river. He was able to capture the picture below, after watching this eagle on the branch in front of the flag for over an hour, he finally got a few shots where the flag was blowing in the wind and the eagle was looking to the side for a good profile shot. I just thought I would share this picture and the story behind it because to me that is what our country is all about; being free to work and live how you want, and still become successful.

What a sweet photo! That should win some kind of prize or be published in a magazine.
Last year I got to see my first ever Bald Eagle in the wild flying over me as I was driving underneath. Where I live, there used to be many of them but sadly they all but disappeared.
Now they are making a small comeback and I think it's great.

Great picture, the eagle looks like he means business !
I have eagles fish in my pond from time to time, it's fantastic to watch them.
Helpful hints on pushing back and strengthening the 2A:
We have seen them in and around St. Helen Mi , as far back as 17 years.
Have seen them throughout Mi. with the most recent on I saw while driving was around Flint Mi.
Thewre is also a few around the 100 mm on the Ohio turnpike as well.
