In need of suggestions/opinoins what to do?
Ok so here is my deal, I currently live with 2 roommates. Both of them were graduates of the military academy we all attended. 1.) Was one of my platoon leaders when i was a CO. Needless to say he is literally like a brother, we know each others everymove. Comes in handy when in public as we both CC, so god forbid someone tries to rob a place we are in. The other graduated 2 years before I. He is from south korea and this is where the problem is.....
When he graduated, i still had 2 years at the academy. Well fast forwarding 2 years, i went to a big time engineering school here in Milwaukee, and upon arriving and placed in a room on the first floor, at a floor meeting i ran into him again, we have been good friends since. Well the engineering school screwed him over and didnt give him the 12 credits and he had to leave. Shortly after he was able to get his school visa reinstated and came back. I was his only friend who would respond, and was looking for a roommate at the time worked out perfect. He started to go back to school, shortly after we had to move as my lease was up. Not to mention we both decided that the increase in rent to $1500 was not worth that place.
After we moved he had to take the bus more and i can understand his consern on this, as riding the bus through the bad part of town unable to protect himself. I couldnt give him a ride, and he cannot get a car as he doesnt exactly have a drivers license, he quit going to school. Well it has been close to a year now since he quit going. He has just been sitting at home, and he pays his share of the bills so i am ok with that.
He was lying to his parents, saying he was still in school because he didnt want to go back to korea. In korea once a "kid" turns 18 its mandatory that they serve 2 years in the South Korean Army. Well he has been here going to school since he was like 13. He even lied and said that he was reenrolled for a new year and they sent $15k for a new semester.
Well yesterday, he gets an email from his parents, that they got a letter from the Dept. Of The South Korean Army, asking for proof of being in school. He cannot prove anything, and im afraid our government will come looking for him. Will his "papers"have expired if he was here on a student visa, and because he hasnt been in school for over a year be good? Last time it took 15 days for him to get a letter from our government, saying he had to leave. He has been talking about either getting married, or running and hiding.
I do not want to get caught for "adding an Illegal" or something along that line.
Recommendations will be greatly accepted.
