If I remember right, the clerk actually went in back to get change! That's when the manager saw the bill and knew it was fake.

In various antiques stores I have been to they sell $1,000,000 bills. Of course they are just a fun thing to have, but they are fairly real looking.
Soooo, I go to my neighborhood bank and tender the million dollar bill and a deposit ticket for same to the teller. Just waiting for her expression. NADA! She enters my account on the computer screen and is typing in the amount when I come to my senses and yell..."Stop! We'll both be in deep doo doo if you deposit that!"
We both then had a good chuckle, but dang that little prank almost back-fired on me.
In her defense, she was a new teller....only two days on the job.

Actually there was a $100,000 bill with Woodrow Wilson's portrait on it. Never a circulating note, it was a Gold Certificate used for Bank transfers.

Seems like there was formerly a casino in Las Vegas with 10 of these in a block of lucite... Anyone else recall this?
