Okay, after some further research I have found this much out. Reportedly some large appliance dealers will throw in one of these gun safes to sweeten the deal when you purchase a refrigerator or other large appliance from them.

I have one too but currently use it to keep my christmas tree in. May have to try it as my gun safe now that I know what a quality option it is!
